About
Hm. Who am I? Well, I’m me.
As vague as it is I believe that may be the only way to answer that question without going into extreme detail. So if you’re just that bored, here’s the extreme details!
My name is Cody, and I’m 20. I am currently a junior at the Savannah College of Art and Design with a declared major in Interactive Design and Game Development. I’m focusing on Game Design Theory, Programming, and UI/UX. I’m incredibly interested in Mobile Game Design.
The main purpose of this blog is to express my opinions about topics, mostly related to game design. As I’ve said before, I’m not some robotic cog in the work-force machine. I strive to be unique and creative.
I love video games. I think they’re great, and they help alleviate stress in so many ways. I used to teach at a summer science camp for the 5-6ish years, and I’ve taught kids how to make video games. Very simple, easy-to-make video games, but video games none-the-less. Games will be the main topic of this blog: board games, video games, which I recommend, reviews, whatever. Another theme of this blog will probably be…
MUSIC!! I love music. I honestly don’t think I’d be able to survive without music in my life. I’m very open minded in my musical taste, however I believe my favorite types of music are indie, emo, ska, rock, classic rock, and metal (on occasion). Classical music has such a unique property to it… it essentially tells a story. I love listening to it when relaxing or studying. The works of Mozart, Vivaldi, and all other classical composers are of pure genius. Pretty much, my favorite bands include Manchester Orchestra, Brand New, The Spill Canvas, Right Away Great Captain!, Mumford & Sons…. you know what, just check out my last.fm page.
I’ll put it at the bottom.
I can play music, too! I’ve been playing the guitar for almost five years now, and I love it. I played the violin for four years prior to my getting a guitar. Playing the violin is what taught me how to read music and exposed me to the creative side of compositions.
I’m a remarkably deep thinker. I’m one of the very few people my age that thinks about the future, and I let that have a say in my present.
I love art. Going into a museum and looking at the works of people from hundreds of years ago fascinates me. Seeing how art has changed over the years is something that’s just so unique and surreal.
Anyways, that’s me! Hahaha. If you’ve made it this far I’ll give you a hug or something when/if I see you.
